A good friend of mine has a 1991 3.0 with an Alpha 1. They started getting some weird noises from the back of the boat that seem to follow engine RPM. He wanted to pull the drive to check the gimble bearing, u-joints, and everything else back there.

What's everyone's opinion on the best, longest lasting vinyl paint money can buy?
I'm trying to re-do most of the seats on my boat, but I don't think I can handle the center double seats that fold down... I need to go to gray from white.

I plan on pulling the drive next week. Straight off, replace the bellows and seals, and straight back on.
Do I need to order thie alignment tool? Or is that only needed if you pull the drive and engine... ?

I decided to peel off the vinyl pinstripes that run the entire length of the boat. I'm assuming these things where all the rage back in the late 80s, because this boat had 7 pinstripes. Yes...

Adjusted my cables and Shift Interuptor Switch with the muffs on last weekend.
Got the timing pretty much PERFECT for the microswitch to kick on the second the drive starts to shift gears.
Only problem? I read in the "Adults Only" section that these do not function properly out of water...
