recently installed a evinrude power tilt on my 1972-78 50 hp the instructions seem to indicate reusing the tilt pin and the manual tilt lock this seems counter productive any body used to these older motor supply there input

1.my mid section is from a different engine whats the best way to seal the hole where the wires come thru
2. do i need a special prop because of the exhaust

back to my 1972 evinrude 50 hp electric start while running it i noticed the voltage of the battery getting what i consider high 16 volts according to the diagram there is no voltage regulation on this system? only a rectifier is this right?
finally got my 1972 50 electric shift on the water did fairly well but had to keep the cover off would die was a lot of condensate inside not sure whats going on

got a old motor i bought evinrude 1972 50 hp with electric shift recently ran it for the first time on a set of muff's just to see whats hapening there is water coming out the prop with the exhaust but i am used to seeing from other motors a stream of water indicating flow i have none dont know...
trying to title a 40 year old motor i recently purchased out of state (ebay)
live in Missouri and have to deal with two Dept's to register thats why questions
1. serial number on transom bracket does not match yr and model of motor
2.serial # on freeze plug which is what my state says it goes...
here i go stretching it again. i want to add power tilt to my motor the model number for the swing arm assy is 55875s 78 55HP there is a place for a hydraulic cylinder approx 7 in between hole centers retracted where could someone find this not listed in the parts manual dealer unknown have...
does any one have instruction on how these work or setting them have two manuals but no info i realize they lock around the pin but dont seem to lock just sitting there is there something else with these

been reviewing threads and mught be duplicating answers but do need some help bought a used motor was supposed to be a 1978 55 hp pretty sure its not from the fact there is only one number difference i am quessing its a 1968 55 hp with hydroelectric shift
