    1985 200hp OMC Seadrive Timing and compression

    I have a 1985 200hp OMC Seadrive crossflow model# 1CBXCOM. I would like to know what the timing should be set at, currently set at 20.<br />Also what would the compression be on this engine? Mine is 90-94 on all cyl.<br /><br />Thanks in advance<br />Steve<br /><br />By the way, great forum!!!

    overheating at idle

    Need some more expert help guys. <br />I have a 1985 200hp Crossflow, OMC Seadrive that overheats at idle. Replaced waterpump and T-stats. Ran on muffs bad. Pulled port side head, ran water through the head, good flow. Pulled lower unit and put garden hose on water inlet tube good flow up...

    I have a 1985 200hp OMC sea drive. I am in the process of tearing my gearcase down after I pulled the drive shaft out of it, due to a crankshaft/driveshaft marriage. I am trying to replace the driveshaft retainer and any other parts that may have been damaged during my removal process as well...

I pulled the powerhead and hung it upside down by the driveshaft and sprayed it with WD-40. After a couple hours of tapping on the driveshaft with a hammer the motor finally slid off...
