Have a bayliner with 120hp L-Drive it's in great running condition, BUT....
I'm finding out there is next to no parts available for her.
Is there ANYTHING that I can replace it with, without performing extensive surgery, cutting her wide open?
Replaced the reservoir with new old one was cracked.
Bolted all up. Connected hydrolic lines and tested.
Goes up and down no problem. Tank all shiny and new. Holds fluid.
Small leak at compression fitting.
Tightened a bit. Still leaks.
Bit more.... Threads gone. Stripped clean.
Now in need...

so today i went out and got some 3/4" ply.
ripped it in 1/2 then cut it to 5'8" so i have a 2'x5'8" piece of 3/4 ply x 2.
mixed up some chopped and resin and made me a sandwhich this afternoon!! :D
spread it all with a 1/8 notched trowel.
kinda did my own thing to clamp it all...

ok.... so did 6 holes for core sample..... dosn't look good at all... goes from light brown to dark, but all damp.

took me most of the evening, BUT managed to pull of the motor....
all I can say is, that motor is S#!T azz heavy!!!! made a quick stand for it aswell. (wish i had casters)
the riser for the motor was made with pressure treated sandwhiched between 2 aluminum plates.

it's a 74 Canadian Fiberglass 14' Runabout.
AND i'd like to make a full transom so i have a spot for trolling motor.
in the water was taken BEFORE the seperation.

get motor off, grind down and clean up existing glass 3-4 inces both sides of seperation.... eveything else looks and...

noticed it had transom repair done before, bounced off the motor to see if there was any give...
