was wondering if i can sucessfully time the shifting from forward to reverse with the boat out of the water and just using the water hose with muffs on.did a removal of engine and drive and just putting everything back together.thanks for any input or help
both of my switches have black wires coming from them with no color sleeves on them. do i have to ring them out with my meter or does it matter if i have them switched. this is a mercury I/O , 1990 model
I have a gas tank . its a poly tank and it has been sitting for about a year in my garage after i drained it . what is good to use to clean it out with before re-installing it ? picture is under " stringer questions" in boat restoration ,building and hull repair.
i will post some new pics of the stringer project, but my question now is what thickness should i use for my plywood deck ? I see alot of post on deck repairs but I haven't seen anything on the deck thickness. My boat is a 1990 larson bowrider 17 footer. about 5 feet across at the widest point...

here are some new pics, hope you can see the faint stringer lines and bulkheads. my guess is that the stringers were one solid piece with a whole bulkhead at the end and pieced bulkheads in between. What is the best way to layout your stringers and bulkheads ????
