    Mix ratio gas oil.

    Old 56 johnson, I thought it was a 57, but it is a 56 30hp with a 57 35hp javelin hood... I've read three or four different ratios... 24/1 ...is the most popular answer... I was also told to use ethenal free gas... but nothing over 90 something octaine ... so I would like to know what you all...

    Hello where can I find a fuel filter for an old 35 hp longshaft johnson javelin outboard... I think it's a 57 from what another user told me when I posted the #'s and from other photos I've seen... It has a glass housing around the fuel filter... thanks

    SUp I have an aluminum boat, there is a rotted old piece of plywood bolted on the back of the boat that the outboard moter is mounted on... does that part have a proper name... like a motor mount...? Thanks

    Primer Stripper

    Hello. So I used the "Marine" paint stripper on my aluminum boat last summer recommended by all three "S.W." paint stores in my town. Patches of the paint came off like butter with a plastic putty knife. Other paches of the paint came off with the sander easily. And still other patches ... yes...

    materials for building that will outlast my lifetime

    I'm a bum and not so able to replace a $77 piece of marine plywood every 4-7 years so I am looking for examples of alternative materials for stucual building floor, bench seats, built in tackle box, etc... a little extra initial cost is cool if it last forever.... foams, uhmw, plastics...

    Another clueless bum who cant figure out the year....

    where the boat attaches to motor ... the only number is the serial number 25526 24210....The nick shaped circle on the engine under the hood... 1574271 ...these are the only numbers i could find ... no letters and i've search many of the links posted in similar threads.... thanks to those who...
