    Bad stator coil, 96 Evinrude V4

    96 E130TXADA quit charging. Per OMC manual, checked for resistance across yellow and yellow/gray off stator coil, NO resistance; shorted together apparently. Any reason to believe otherwise? Motor runs fine, but getting tired of pull-starting a 130 :-)

    water diverter tubes in '96 130?

    I have a '96 E130TXADA 130 V4. Pulled the starboard head off recently, and did not see any diverters in the cooling passages.     125 vs 130 Evinrude

    Just a curiosity question. Late 90s V-4 w/ the V-6 gear case; per the manual all the specs are the same except for recommended RPM. Am I correct in assuming that the 125 was the derated commercial version? No actual differences in the engine/lower unit? Thanks!
