03 bf50a remote to tiller conversion

Need to pick some of you honda guru's brains. Looking for info needed on a project I'm working on. Does anyone know if the 06533-ZW4-H50ZA tiller conversion kit will fit an 03 bf50a? I've seen two different answers in my research so far. Some say it will fit bf50a,A4 and later, but don't specify...

Look at this! Polished Toons, holy mackerel

Re: Look at this! Polished Toons, holy mackerel You can keep them that way for a long time, but you need to seal it with sharks hide. I polished mine last yr,and applied 2 coats of sealer to all but one side of one tube. On that side I just applied one coat to see how much difference there would...

    Raising The Deck

Re: Raising The Deck 10' wide would make a big difference in stability. In our state you don't need permits until your over 12' wide. Over 8'-6" you need "Wide Load" signs and red flags at the corners. I think I'd still look for a used set of twins to hang off the tubes, even if they were 75's...

Changing the orientation of an OMC control

Re: Changing the orientation of an OMC control What kind of console? This is how I mounted mine. Underneath the control is a 2 x 2 channel, which bolts to the console and the side plate.

    sandblasting pontoons

Re: sandblasting pontoons I had a solid 1/8" of hard buildup on my toons when I started. When I first seen it I though no problem I'll squirt some acid on there and power wash them right off. Didn't cut it at all. I think it's an algae buildup through the season, then when they'd pull it out for...

    Downrigger Mount on a Pontoon

Re: Downrigger Mount on a Pontoon That was some leftover 3" schedule 20 stainless plumbing and flanges left over from another project. Just not polished out like yours. I picked these up cheap online for mounting downriggers on my new rails. Jim, yes they were also attached to the rail.

    Welding Strakes on Pontoons

Re: Welding Strakes on Pontoons MaPaHa, can your hear the leak when you pressure them up? They won't be much if your only taking on 10 gals.,but you aught to be able to hear them. Do your strakes have a flange? You could carefuly drill with a small bit a series of holes through the flange...

    Structural question

Re: Structural question You definitely don't want to cut the top flange of the channel. In order for that section to go down it'll have to tear the top flange or compress the bottom. If the hole would be in the center no problem, but it would be close to the top. That would really weaken the top...

    20.5 X 8.0 -10 H-188 Tires

How are your bearings holding up? I have these tires and rims, but the rubber is getting old. They do have the load rating I need, but the small dia. has me questioning the longevity of the bearings. I'll be roading this rig quite a bit.

    FishToon Project

Re: FishToon Project Wow, I was doing a search on google and found this old thread I started. This project is still going on,but I'm getting close. Still have a lil more welding on the rail, then it'll be time for underskin. Here's a link to a slideshow of this project from the time I started...

    FishToon Project

Ever start one of those restoration projects that you couldn't decide where to stop. I've got one of those going. Started out purchasing an '89 24' Starcraft pontoon/'02 50 hp 4stroke Honda. Deck was in decent shape, but the funiture was fugly and the 23" dia. tubes were covered from yrs...
