Ps... I'm definitely interested in helping the club anyway I can... I've got alot of free time... I'm a veteran with a pitbull kennel... We've quit breeding 2 years ago so we just have our 5 "kids" and 3 teens. I do ALOT of building projects... and working on my boat this winter... camper in the spring... a prototype 63 Buick...always... but I've ALWAYS got time... just let me know... Boats are my passion...

Hey KingNugz - welcome aboard:

Yeah, I think the 3V crowd has thinned out a little. A couple of us still watch the thread. I've always had tri-hulls and like the design for the most part. I post a little here and there, but my boat is only worth writing so much about :)

The "club" - such as it is - hasn't ever done that much. It's a little tough as decentralized as we all are to have events and things like that. But, the faithful are still into pictures and chatting, so let's see what ya' got!

Wow. Cool layout on that one. How many people can crowd on to it?

I have seen 8, my Dad, Step Mother and 6 Grand kids. This is from the day I picked it up. No water in Fort Phantom Lake and my Dad is 84, so she is mine now. Dad bought it new in '87, so I know its been maintained. Here is a better picture of the layout.

It's a neat layout. Looks like 8 could be comfortable on there too.

It isnt a Trihull, but since you own a Silverline I thought you might like this.

Been a while since I've posted anything, but I have been reading quips in my email notifications. Stickers are still available. I take paypal or a check/cash via snail mail works too. I cross ship snail mail payments so you can have piece of mind about that.

Got my Glastron back into a singular piece this year. Pulled all the top hardware off hoping to finish painting, but a work injury and poor weather but that on hold until spring. Pretty good progress for me considering I've had this boat for about 8 years.

Good eye, it is a '67

Unfortunately, no. It was pretty rough looking when I bought it, the seats were rotten and the gelcoat was really chalky. The father of the previous owner had the transom, stringers and deck replaced a few years before I bought it. I spent a summer cleaning it up and replacing the seats. My wife didnt like it because it was closed bow and not very stable at rest, sooooo we sold it.

I thought all the tri hulls were used up. Haven't seen any posts on here in quiet some time.

That is a pretty cool layout on your trihull Twidget. What is the brand and model? I see VIP...

I'd like to join of I could. This is my 1968 Sport Craft C-Gull. The day I splashed her, someone said, "Did you know that those tri hulls handle like their on rails?" I then got her up to full speed and just cranked the wheel all the way. Wow, these tri hulls can handle!

It is a VIP brand. My Dad always called it a deckboat. I cant seem to find anything about it, I tried looking up the HIN, but all that really said was VIP made in '87. I have never seen another like it in the 27 years since he bought it.

Nope, I usually find viking deck boats when I see them up here. A VIP deck boat is probably pretty rare, though I think people didn't buy them because most of these weren't aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Kind of a niche boat.

Yeah, the deck boats were pretty "clunky" lookin' ... but they did make a nice party barge if you had a big group.

Twidget - Thanks for the note on the Deville's about being a little tippy. I'd been keeping my eyes open for a larger Deville, but if they wobble a bunch the Admiral won't like it. And if momma ain't happy ... ;)

JC55 - That Sport Craft is nice looking. Looks like you had a buncha' work into her.

Good seein' ya' on redfury!
