Hi all, is there any way to adjust the trim on my stringer? when I tilt it all the way up it hits the engine pulley, it always reads on the trim gauge way down, almost off the gauge, when I tilt it up it only goes about half way on the gauge?

Yes, hit the trim switches on the handle

when I tilt it all the way up it hits the engine pulley,
what is "it"?
Tilt should only lift the outdrive, should not move the engine.

hard to say - don't know what engine you have, or type of trim system.

best guess with info given : stringers and engine mounts rotten allowing engine to wander around the engine bay

Thanks but I need to adjust the trim not trim the engine, the trim goes up and down no prob but it goes so low that the engine harmonic balancr pulley hit the pump engine, so I need to some how adjust the trim stops i guess

the trim is on the engine

the engine harmonic balancr pulley hit the pump engine,

what's a pump engine?

so I need to some how adjust the trim stops i guess

that guess would be wrong- there's no adjustment
the wood in the boat's stringers are probably rotten - like 90% of old boats in the north

Assuming you are trying to be helpful here, the stringers are new last year, the trim gauge shows that that trim is all the way down but the engine is not, the engine drops low enough that it hits the trim pump on the harmonic balancer pulley

whoever redid the stringers and floor is responsible if the balancer's hitting wood.

the trim pump should be mounted on the engine.
