what model?,out board or I/O?
my '74 gypsy (bow rider) is an I/O and the brochure says approx.wt. is 1950 lbs.

outboard model was 1325 lbs. sterndrive model was 1950 lbs. hope this helps.

For "newer" boats nadaguides.com has listings for boats and their "unrigged/empty" weight.

Its a 1970 MFG edinboro 17ft with a 1983 Johnson Outboard

Hi cenrique - If you go to the bottom of the iboats main page you will see forums dedicated to certain manufacturers. Scroll down to MFG and take a look around.:D

I have a '68 catalog a member here sent me and it states the 1968 17' Edinboro Special weighed approximately 945 lbs (w/o motor). It had a weight capacity of 1,741 lbs and could handle a 80 horsepower engine. *EdC* is restoring an Edinboro as we speak...he's the man to talk to.
