Making spring prep n found water in lower unit.
Drained, refilled and ran it on garden hose hook up (not in water), check again and it had a lot more.

Any thoughts?

spring-prep found water? I guess you really dont believe much in layup maint, commonly called winterizing.
but if it only leaks on the muffs its pretty much gotta be drive shaft seals leaking. next step is to pull the case and water pump and simply pressure test, and vacum test, the unit.

I bought it in the winter from a friend who was having some $$$ issues!
I've never had it in the water but he used it last year and I gave $500

Can you explain the procedure for vac / pressure test?
