 I've been seeing a CL ad for a week. Yes it was taunting me. Today I sent a text, and they actually responded.

They then sent the address which was 4 miles from where I was working, and on the way home.

I just had to stop just take to take a look.

Looked her over real good. Most of the parts seem to be there, but no motor.

I knew the asking price but never mentioned it as I checked over the package. The seller lowered his price 3 times as I pointed out the soft floor, the soft tires, the crappy paint.

So this weekend I'll have some 'splaining when a new Tin gets pulled home.

No it's not a Starcraft, but a close cousin. A Lone*Star Medallion II 16'er.

The CL asking price was $200. After he made it to $125 it was an offer I couldn't refuse:facepalm:.

I'll be looking for one of my hardhats.

Oh crap the Admiral just saw a pic on my phone, gotta go.

Thanks brush.

H20 - Yes Holidayish but saw some unique design items.

The first is to figure out what ARMOR-HULL really means.

Lonestara66018.jpg

The floor has an epoxy coating tabbed to the hull.:faint2:

Good thing I have an AHCA policy! This might be one where the scrap might be worth the price.

:D good luck

Thanks Joe, I'll need it she stated she gets a new car before there is another boat. Need to find a really cheap car fast.

GA - She has good lines it's a '66 from what I can tell.

We'll see if that foam is "impervious to gasoline, oil and water - and stronger than ordinary foam."

I'm more curious to see if the hull/foam is constructed as pictured. If it is the floor might not be that bad if the foam is still good.

Yeah Fat chance of that. I'll be weighing the hull to check it out.

If you aren't posting from the ER or a hospital bed, I guess it went well. Or you found the Admiral's new Land Yacht. :D

Ah - The right moment. Catch them when other people are around. Good move. :thumb: I think the new Admiral Chariot may have moved a bit more upscale. ;)

Stopped by the boat today and showed the BIL. I was already towing my utility trailer so it didn't come home yet. Pretty wet and nasty day so far here today.

Did get some oil in the jack and freed it up. It was stuck, probably from sitting in the garage for the last 4 years.

Tongue weight is really heavy. Hoping it's just trailer adjustment.

Uncovered the HIN plate. Who ever, when ever this boat was painted they never pulled all the tape back off. All the fittings have tape on them close to the hull or covering the whole fitting.
