I kinda kept this one a secret cuz I didn't know how it was going to turn out. I didn't steel one from the US this time but out west in BC. Second owner, floor and transom are surprisingly good, the paint on the hull is another story. The original owner thought house paint with a brush would be a good way to go. The motor runs like a top, and it shifts real smooth. And I only drove 8 hours one way for this one.
Here she is in all her glory.

Is she a rebuild project or just a paint job. The inside looks good in the pics.

Where can I get one of those fancy licence plate holders?

Throw a kicker on her and go fishing. Make it shine over the winter.

Another great find Glen.

Thanks guys, my plan is to just tune her up and use her for the rest of the summer. It will have to get stripped of her paint and a new dress of some kind, the interior is pretty dated and the dash is pretty rough.

So 8 hours of driving is about twice as long as the drive to the grocery store for you. :D

Good luck tweaking and selling.

Re: 1976 Holiday 18 Mercruiser 120

Just got back from the lake from two weeks of relaxation, and testing out the new to me Holiday. First time out was fishing with the Admiral. After about 15 minutes I flipped the switch on the bilge pump too see if we were taking on any water, it caught a prime and pumped for about a minute. After turning it on every ten minutes and having it pump for a while the Admiral lost her confidence and said lets go. Turns out there was a rivet missing about midships on the bottom and couple loose ones, a screw with some silicone and she runs almost dry now. The Mercruiser 120 runs perfect, the only issues I can find is excess play in the steering, and yes it is the arm and shaft in the transom assembly $$$. Overall I really like her, great for fishing.

Ok... so I know I have been on vacation a ton and out of town... but you managed to sneak another boat home! Man... oh man!

Looks really good though... ok is this one staying in the Dozer hanger till spring or gone now... Is it getting a bowectomy?

Nice to see you've got another potential project for the fall/winter though!

J.
