Thirty five races under our belt and now it's time for the final race. Homestead, site of the deciding race to the 2014 Sprint Cup Championship with only four drivers left in the Chase. After the other twelve Chasers were eliminated, now wins and points and tie-breakers mean nothing in the new format - Simply put, the first of the four to cross the finish line on Sunday is the new Champ.

Which of these four, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin or Ryan Newman will push their splitter across the finish line first? One thing for sure, we will have a first-time Champ because none of the four has a won prior Championship. There is also still a chance for a non-winning Champion, as well - Newman has no wins this year. Is this the year that a non-winner takes the Cup for the first time?

Could the Championship be won or lost in the pits? Pit crews will be playing a huge part in the outcome. A repeat of Joey's gas can penalty this week could spell disaster for him. And will team mates try to help out? Other Penske, Stewart-Haas, Childress and Gibb teams could lend a hand. Since Gordon was knocked out last week, could the Hendrick teams try to influence the outcome?

Rather than get carried away with a lot of hot air about stats/chances/etc., Jayski Cup News & Stats has a good rundown for the final race.

Sam60 edged aspeck by 1.5 points to snatch the :first: this week. 'speck - You can blame Keso for losing 2 position points. Why not, he was the catalyst for plenty of on track and post race activity this year :D
64osby picked up few overall points. With only this race left, can FlaCowby overcome a 555 point lead by osby?

Darrell Wallace Jr. won the Truck race and Matt Crafton his consecutive Championship. The first back-to-back Champ in Camping World Truck history. Only one left to decide on Sunday since Chase Elliott clinched N-Wide last week.

So who will be the 2014 Sprint Cup Champion? Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin or Ryan Newman? I bet they have butterflies waiting for the green flag to drop. Here we go, racing into the dark - Green, Green, Green!

Logan seems to fade on the longer runs. Gordon, Harvick, Hamlin seem like the cars to beat ... Newman will not go away ...

If the race ends on a G-W-C, the Chaser last in line has the advantage if they aren't too far back. Think the Chrome Horn.

If Gordo wins nobody will care except him. Sure would like to see the #31 win the Piston Cup trophy......

#31 is a good choice. First because I like Newman and second, to show nascar how stupid this new Chase format is if a non-winner takes the crown.

Gordo is getting good pit stops today!

How many cautions so far? How many more in the last 18 laps!

Hamlin stayed out and Joey fell off the jack.
