1957 Gale buccaneer

I have a 1957 12 horse buccaneer I am try to find a mantaince manual for it and can't seem to find one and i am trying to find a parts diogram
if anyone could help that would be great

There are reprint factory manuals right here at iboats.
Probably parts manuals available as well.
Your model number should appear on the top of the mounting bracket.
It will help us tell which model it is.It does share some parts with the Evinrude/ Johnson motors of similar design.Routine parts are readily available.
The Gale 12 and 15 are covered in the same section of my after market service manual
along with the E/J motors.

From my factory service manual updated Dec.56;
12DE15B is an electric start,with a remote tank.
These motors use a single line tank.Electric start uses a simple plate with a start and choke button.Motor is stopped by retarding the throttle or by the choke button.
86# less tank, 9" X 11" prop, 6 gal tank with about 3hr run time at wot.24:1 fuel mix.
Use TCW 3 rated oil.While related to he E/J 15 it uses a smaller powerhead at 17.89
cu.in.

On my gale 12 hp i am trying to find the starter pack for it anyone have any idea where i could find one

Good luck. Thre probably are ten people looking for every one that was ever built in the first place. But some people still manage to find one.

check on ebay - i have a 1961 25hp gale bucaneer and i found everything for it on ebay so far
