I recently changed my prop. New prop was a Solas RubX hub.
I was unable to get the std cotter pin through, and I was trying to over torque the nut hoping to squeeze the hub as rearward as possible after I drove the hub in with wood blocks and a 3# machinist's hammer.
Too lazy to find a block for the prop, so I shifted to R just like I did with my previous Alpha Gen II dog clutch. I had the B- cable removed for safety.
I was surprised to slip the cone clutch with a 9-10" ratchet. ...prop spun easily CCW.
Is this normal? I reckon my 4.3 V5 250 hp generates more torque than I could overcome with a 4' cheater bar.
