That out side corner on the bow piece will get dammaged real fast, you will probably want to put a piece of bullnoseing or some out side corner trim on it eventualy. It looks like the covering may be sepperating just below the corner some. If it dose just cut the corner get some new glue down there on a putty knife and then use the OS corner to pinch it back in place. They are tough to wrap and make/keep in good shape.

I took your advise and put a piece of corner aluminum on the edge of the platform.

Thanks, I still have a lot of work to do. I have new control cables coming today and have to run some more wiring. Put in some more flotation and finish putting down the plywood. I'll post more pics as I move a long.

One other suggestion, not sure if its possible now or if its to late. If you can put in a PVC conduit to run your cables and wires in it really helps. Once you button it all up and get it pretty, its a problem if you need to add or change something that breaks, but if you have a conduit then its a piece of cake. Normally what happens is you wind up installing it under the gunwale because its impossible to put it any where Else. To change a transducer wire or add a trolling controller or temp reader its a matter of fishing it though the conduit (of course over size it as much as practical).

I have rebuilt 5 of these and these are a few things I have learned the hard way.

I was thinking that also, the only think is that everything runs under the gas tank. But I think I'm going to look at that again and see what I can come up with. I guess even if I run it down the side some how. Its worth a look into. Thanks for the advise.

IMAG0316.jpgIMAG0259.jpgIMAG0314.jpgIMAG0321.jpgOk so I put in a 1 1/2 in plastic pipe to run wires through and had to change the end piece because I couldn't get the control cables through the bend. I put it to 2'' and they went through like butter lol Vinyl is almost installed and have to get everything wired.

I'm getting the hang of this vinyl thing. The more I do it the better I'm getting at it. Just can't wait to finish her up and use her. Console is going in tomorrow morning. Then the wiring mess begins.

Finally gaining some ground on my project. I have the steering and controls hooked up, The console is all mounted. Now the fun begins on the wiring. Once thats done I'll be able to check out the motor and see if I can get her fired up. Wish me luck.

Take your time with the wiring and use alot of zip ties, its really hard to make it neat, but worth it if you can. Your project is looking like better than factory new. Good job.

I am finally just about done rebuilding the boat. This has been some project but well worth it. She was out on the river and handled nice.Had it up to 35 mph on gps, But I think I could get a little more out of the motor so I adjusted the cables a bit. Next time I take her out I'll see if it did any good. I'll keep you all posted.
