One other suggestion, not sure if its possible now or if its to late. If you can put in a PVC conduit to run your cables and wires in it really helps. Once you button it all up and get it pretty, its a problem if you need to add or change something that breaks, but if you have a conduit then its a piece of cake. Normally what happens is you wind up installing it under the gunwale because its impossible to put it any where Else. To change a transducer wire or add a trolling controller or temp reader its a matter of fishing it though the conduit (of course over size it as much as practical).
I have rebuilt 5 of these and these are a few things I have learned the hard way.
Ok so I put in a 1 1/2 in plastic pipe to run wires through and had to change the end piece because I couldn't get the control cables through the bend. I put it to 2'' and they went through like butter lol Vinyl is almost installed and have to get everything wired.
