small cruiser aft seat repair?

The aft seat bottom cushion backing (wood?) is shot. Can't get to it in-place so I'm assuming the entire aft-seat will have to be removed to do that. 2 questions (to start).

Any other ideas on how to replace that bottom "backer-board" other than removing the whole thing and doing the repair on the whole thing outside the boat.

How to remove the seat bottom or whole thing?

It's a 1998 Wellcraft 240SE. Thanks.

can't tell you how to fix the seat,,, but great pictures..

Bottom cushion may be held in with screws from underneath, or with Christmas trees.

Vinyl is only guaranteed by the manufacturer for 3-5 years.

You will need to rebuilg thw whole cushion, and maybe the whole seat
