Quick wiring question

I haven’t been able to obtain a service manual yet for my newly acquired ‘84 suzuki dt30. I was hoping someone can verify an electrical question for me based on attached pic’s.
There are 4 wires coming out of the motor. Two appear to be the kill circuit that runs up front to the dead man’s switch on the throttle/shifter controls. The other two are not connected but have a label saying “nav lights“.
Question: Do I need to have an alternator for the nav light circuit to be active ? I am under the impression than an alternator was optional on this motor and since it doesn’t have electric start (and related battery) I’d be surprised if it has an alternator.
Also, is there a recommended service manual for this motor ?
thanks

On a motor with electric start the nav lights would be wired to the battery. Without a battery the only source of power would be the stator

some motors had A/C power generated for lights.
they did not have a rectifier/regulator, but you can add that and a battery if you wanted
