A few folks know..... some dont.....

here is a glimpse of my next project in the planning stages.

The render needs the wheels pushed out a bit more...... but you get the idea.

Merry Christmas folks

That looks fun! And nice rendering. Have done a few "renderings" for smaller stuff for myself, but they're usually sketches. Only the bigger stuff for work gets CADD drawings. What software are you using?

Man you are a dork

You hand making or kit?
there is no kit to put a custom LS motor, AR5 manual, C4 suspension in a 1952 Fiat Topolino. nearly 100% will be custom. everything from the oil pan, intake, accessory mounts, radiator, plumbing, frame, coil-over mounts, air-cup kit, roll cage, dash, HVAC assembly, seats, fuel tank, exhaust.... Just spending a bit of time on the CAD station in between measuring....... prior to fabricating or having fabricated.

That’s pretty cool. Get a good old 4.8L and throw some boost at it. Would be 600 hp all said and done. I just stuck my A bone chassis in the garage yesterday. it had been in the back of my wife’s truck since Sunday. I may pick up the cab tomorrow from my late grandparents ( my mom owns the house now ) where it’s been for a decade.

I need ground clearance and transmission clearance. so I am going to rock a LS4. its the FWD version of the LS family. 5.3 liters, all aluminum. Will be rocking a Quartermaster clutch and the AR5. this will allow me to lower the motor 2" in the chassis and have some leg room.

@matt167 , doesn't the alternator on the 4.8 have a vacuum pump on the back side? Any idea on the thru-shaft diameter if the pump was removed?

Love the project Scott: really amped to see it done.

Mine is no where near as exciting, but I've been chugging away at a '92 Fox Body Convertible. We're on the road, nothing exciting (2.3l) but I'm working on getting it re-worked as a nice daily driver and road car:

I think you will find the 2.3 pretty durable and previous owners will not have beat the snot out of it like they would have with a 5.0

It is a good little motor. Transmission seems to be a sissy, but so far it's mostly doing what it's supposed to.

My "other project" is a 1973 BMW R75/5 which is the same year as the first BMW I rode in 1974. There is a certain amount of simplicity is the older stuff. Happy New Year!
