neutral/drive 1953 gale 5hp

can get the shift in and out of drive working properly after i took off lower unit to replace impeller, wonder if i broke a tab or something putting back together. when you put into neutral the lever compresses the spring but the clutch lever has nothing to come in contact with, thanks dave

Do you know how a " wrap spring " works ?----Does your motor not have drive and neutral now ?
