Motor Stand

I need to pull my mariner 100 off my boat, and I do not have a engine stand or hoist. I was curious if you can do any damamge to a motor by possibly laying it on its side in some soft padded foam, or even on some tires?

Got a welder? I made my heavy duty stand in less than an hour out of square tubing from old signposts and a foot and a half of 2x10".<br />Eric

It probobly won't hurt anything. Do you have access to an old pickup truck? <br />Hang it on the tailgate.

I used about 15 feet of 2x4 wood beam and a bunch of 6" nails and half an hour to make a perfect stand for my 115 I6. No problem.<br /><br />-M-
