Have a trashed out- Michigan smc 380 cup-[ that is the only marking stamped on prop] trying to find out what pitch and diam this is. Searched EB and found a 378 that was 15 1/2 x 19 and thats as close as I can find. Just bought as is,as is I am rebuilding the engine and have never had it in the water for any rpm numbers etc.

Re: Looking for info on Michigan prop

Thanks for the cross reference.Came up as a 15 1/4 x 21 which seems like a lot of prop for a 22' CC boat maybe 2500/2800lbs with a merccruiser 470 180 hp pushing it.Like I said I never had it out but for some reason I was thinking a 17 would be what I was after. I have a 22' bowrider 3500lbs that has a 350 magnum in it and runs a 19". More than likely I will throw that 19 on before buying anything.

good idea to test BUT understand that you v8 boat has a 1.5:1 reduction and the 4 cyl has 2:1 so it will use a steeper pitch prop for the same water speed

Thanks ,yes I did forget about the gear ratios. I will take it to a prop shop to verify specs.
