Hi,
I have a Stingray 180lx. Marina just replaced sending unit in gas tank. I have taken the boat out several times and the gauge is not dropping. Stays on full. Checked ground from sending unit to negative battery terminal. Also used a jumper wire from the gauge sending terminal to the ground on the gauge. Gauge went to full. Not sure where problem is coming from. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Charles

Disconnect the sender wire and the gauge should read empty

If it does, remove the tank sender (in a well ventilated area) and reconnect wires. Then watch the gauge as the float is moved from empty to full slowly
