Re: engine cuts out
Hi cheggyab, You didn't mention at what speeds or other symptoms surrounding the cut out, and how it re-starts. One possibility is a restriction in the fuel system. Some inboard fuel tanks have screens or filters in the pick-up tube or the tank. over time, debris can find it's way into your tank. The fuel flow will pick up this garbage and it will get caught in that screen. this can stop the fuel flow to your engine, your engine will stall. One way to check this is to try a portable fuel tank on the boat or put a vacuum guage in the fuel line before the fuel pump and see what it's pulling.
