Dual tacometer

I have a 2021 Yamaha 90hp Vmax

Im looking to install a second tacometer, specially a Yamaha 6Y8 because it shows engine hours and also has a slow troll option.

I want to keep my original tacometer where it is and put the new 6Y8 off to the side. I simply hate the look of the 6Y8.

Can this be done while both remain operational?

Yes. It will work.

But you won't be able to have trim information on the 6Y8 tachometer if you have trim information displayed on a standalone trim gauge or if your present tachometer is a Yamaha 6Y5 type that is displaying trim information.
