Difference PD V1 and V2?

Hello, I was wondering the differience between Minn Kota Power drive and the PD v2?

What year was the "switch" Will auto pilot work on V1?

I don't know what year they went to V-2 but yes the auto pilot (and co-Pilot) works on a V-1. However if you ever want to add the new i-Pilot, it will not work on a V-1.

Aren't the plugs different, I was told my co-pilot on my old pd 55 12 volt would not plug to my new pd v 2 24 volt, plug end were diff. ? I could be wrong , but worth checkin

The plugs on Co-Pilots are very different. Small round connector on V2 and a large oval shaped plug on the V1. They do not interchange. The V2 appeared in either 2007 or 2008.
