Did I just mess up my pontoons?

Took our pontoon out of storage today and I wanted to clean the pontoons up. I watched some videos on Napa’s aluminum brightener and decided to give it a try. Like a big dummy, I didn’t do a small spot, but a third of one toon. It left streaks and just looks really bad. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks for any help

Wonder if your toons were clear coated? If so that damaged the paint

So I’ve gone over one pontoon twice and it is looking better however I have this one streak at the top and a few spots inbetween that won’t come clean or look like the rest. Maybe there was a clear coat on at one time? I did use Sharkhide a couple years ago

Now wet sand to 800 grit. Then get polishing compound and buff it. Then apply sharkhyde often to keep it ahiny
