Some of you may remember I mentioned in someone else's thread last July that a leak had reared it's ugly head and I suspected the drive bellows as it was FLOWING in.I took it to the dealer I bought it from to have the bellows (all 3) changed and summerize the drive/motor.

The result was the drive bellows had pin holes but would not cause flow. The gimbal and u-joints were good as was the alignment. The transom showed no signs of water damage. The culprit was that the transom assembly bolts had loosened so the rubber seal allowed water to flow in.They tightened them to torque spec, installed the bellows, changed the fluids and set tune-up as I had installed the needed parts. No splash yet as life is in the way but that will come.

Thanks for sharing. Yet another good reason for annual removal and inspection. A chance to retorque the bolts.
