93 Crownline- Good Trouble?

Hey Friends,

Looking for advice. Came across a very clean 93 Crownline (225BR). 700 hours on the boat- 100 on the motor since it was rebuilt in 2011 (that seems surprisingly low....). Motor was "built"- but don't have too much info on it (other than the parts list from the receipts pictured below). Current owner says the boat runs great (and dyno'd at 400 HP- which seems surprisingly high and he doesn't have paperwork to prove this). Owner also states the boat has performance roller cam and rockers and an intake and carb (which you can see in the picture)

Price is right and the boat would be used primarily on the river (St. Croix in MN).

Is this good trouble or not worth it trouble?

I'm not even sure- is this a 5.7 or 7.4?

What is the max HP rating on the boat ?? If overpowered by a bunch then you will be at fault in any accident that occurs. Your insurance company may have some words of advice !! Remember, lawyers will look hard for any excuse to make you liable !! With that much HP, I would make sure the sub structure like wood in the stringers has no rot in them. Same with the transom.. Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but your call.....
