This motor idles good and sounds good wot but about mid range it has a slight miss and at wot the rpms are only about 4400 rpms and the top speed is around 34 mph. I am running a 131/2 x 15 prop on a South Fork aluminum bass boat with a semi v. The boat and motor combined weigh around 1200 pounds. I adjusted the linkages according to specs and lost throttle and the rpms wouldn't go over 3700. The idle was too slow also. Any suggestions on why this motor doesn't top out at 5500 rpms? Do I need to take a meter and see where the throttle sensor is at? Thanks

I am also having a problem with the low oil flow sensor when idling. It flickers and faintly beeps until I increase throttle. I am leaning to the oil filter having a slight clog and plan on replacing/cleaning it. Any other thoughts on either one of these issues is appreciated. Thanks.
