I just bought a 1989 21ft Seaswirl Sable and I am going to repower with a bracket and Outboard. I am thinking of a 200 or 225hp evinrude E-TEC. Does anyone have an opinion on these newer 2-stroke outboards by Evinrude? I am not set on these I am open to other suggestions if you have any. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

P.S I have 1993, 23 Aquasport Open Fisherman.
The Yamis 4 stroke engines are pretty rouged. However lacks sufficient muscle and you lose the economy when ever you start going over 3500 RPM depending the amount of load you carry. Use 1 HP = 25 Pounds, power to weight ratio. Add all the weight and divide by 25 = minimum HP to get up in a plane.

Good Luck
jxtower
