can someone show me on these pictures where the location for the 3-pin diagnostic plug is? I purchased an OBDII scanner and software to check the info on my motor, but I can't seem to locate the correct plug/port.

Found it. Just in case anyone else needs the location, its behind the fuse panel on the front starboard side of the motor.

That's pretty cool.
I wonder if my 2000 F115 has one.
I'll have to look
Does that tell you total hours I wonder?

Actually they will. I believe the connector is port side front

Yamaha has what it called YDS or YDIS Diagnostic software and cable that hooks to their outboard motors and wave runners, but OBDII is something used in the automobile industry from what I have seen

The common ELM327 obdii adapter can be used as serial to USB converter. Once connected, the YDS software can be used....
