1990 Evinrude 70hp Trim Tilt problems

Has anyone ever converted there 3 wire tilt and trim to 2 wire. I'm having problems with my wiring and found a company that sells a conversion kit. I have a 1990 evinrude 70hp model # E70TLESB The part is coming up obsolete from all the companys that sell parts. The harness is sparking from behind the relays.the relays are clicking and when I wiggled the harness it would work. I then started to take it apart but then said I am better off ordering a new one then taking it apart but now it won't work at all.

Try the top secret files at the beginning of this forum and look for salvage yards.

The orignal t/t motor was a 2 wire motor, and should work with the relays you have.
