Alright so I found this 24ft 71 Reinell at my local auction yard. Ended up buying it for 500$ which I would consider to be a steal. In any case, I got this registered and now need to put some work into it. There’s slight damage to the very bottom of the hull where it seems like a sand bar was scraped. I have some experience with boats. But is there anything I should be looking out for specifically?

I’m also curious what that white plastic mount on the left side is for, a radio antenna?

Have a good look at transom , stringers and wood structure.----These 50 year old boats often have issues.

I have your boats little 22ft sister. It has the dwarf size cabin, not like yours with all the head room but at 5'5" I'm good. I am willing to bet your whole boat structure is rotten. Mine was.
