Needing to replace the impeller. Apparently your supposed to pull tje power head, to release the lower unit! Any other thoughts on this!

Sounds right.------Post picture of this motor.-----Be easy to identify it.-----If it was built by OMC then many Johnson parts fit.

This was a thread I received from the man I bought this from 3 years ago! He had gone through it but couldn’t remember! We were wondering if there was any other way to do it!

You have to remove the powerhead !!!!-----Many consumable parts are available and the same as Johnson.-----Ignition , carburetor . water pump, gaskets and seals to name a few.

Racerone, who do you use for parts. Going to need about 9 seals 1 gasket, and impeller

Hey Racer one,
Got seal kit and new impeller in lower unit! I’m gonna need a bottom housing for the impeller!! Apparently had water in itand froze and cracked, along with a crack on the skaf! Repaired the cracks, with jb weld. Not a complete fix! Any ideas on the lower impeller housing! Where I might get one!
