I'm looking at 2 mid 70's Stamas 26' cuddys....one has twin GM 165 6 cyl....the other has a 350 both omc outdrives.....any pros or cons you can share?

73 350 Chevy omc.... I've done everything from impeller to thermostat....flushed exhaust manifolds....so I believe the block & or heads are clogged....how about back-flusning the block....rather than taking the heads off & see what happens. Maybe tap on block as I'm flushing...any feedback?

New gas, water sep, points conds cap rotor coil wires 2 yrs old.
With key on, power to + - side of coil power to points also, cranks like hell won't fire tried grounding coil wire from cap connection no spark.
Could it be timing chain or resistor or volt reg? Goin there tonite to advance or...

I did a search to research my problem, I'd like some feedback on my issue.
When shifted in reverse the O/D pulls away slightly from the intermediate housing. If shifted back in to forw it will seat again. If rpm is increased in reverse the O/D will raise up like an outboard without the lock on...
