Bayliner 180 BR - 115hp Mercury Outboard - Plane issues

I don't think the Bayliners have foam in the boat hull. will need to verify that. RPM Range for my engine is 5000-6000. So I thinking of going down to 17p or even 15p and test that so I can be at the higher range with just me in it. Therefore when I add passengers it should go down some.

Bayliner 180 BR - 115hp Mercury Outboard - Plane issues

I have a 2017 Bayliner 180 BR equipped with a 115hp 4 Stroke Mercury engine. I am trying to see if I have a prop issue or possible outdrive issue or something else which is not allowing me to get on plane. My current Prop setup is the following - Mercury Spitfire 12.5 x 19P 8M8026600 By Myself...

    Water leaking from engine - 5.7 GXI-E

Yea it was. Electrical problems will always do that. I Hope now that this issue won't be as bad and hopefully just a simple plug to replace. although removing the engine isn't ideal lol.

    Water leaking from engine - 5.7 GXI-E

Great Memory! Yes sir. It turns out that was a bad Ignition Coil and we found some loose ground wires as well. So It could of been a combination of booth causing the ignition to shut off while I was in motion. After I replaced that it ran like a champ all season.

I was wondering where those plugs were. Yea my mechanic looked at it the other day and said the same thing that most likey one of those plugs got pushed in. Volvo Penta Drive Belt - Lots of dust and quickly wearing??

So I spoke to one of the local mechanics and he might think that it could be my two AMPS that might be drawing to much Amps for the Alternator which is causing it to eat up my belts. I am running a Fusion SG-DA41400 and a Rockville Atom 8m. My current alternator is stock and runs up to 70amps...

Volvo Penta Drive Belt - Lots of dust and quickly wearing??

yea I looked up the oem part no. online it looks like that length is 2530mm so getting a belt that is 2510mm should be worth a shot? Not sure. I think I still might have my old pulleys I could check that as well

Volvo Penta Drive Belt - Lots of dust and quickly wearing??

How do you get a slightly shorter belt if everything for this engine is specific to certain part numbers. This belt is the correct part no for the 5.7 GXi-E Engine
