    Some companies in my area won’t insure a steel-hulled boat.

    Does it run with the hood off? If so it’s your shift boot. It’s breathing it’s own exhaust.

    Stuck water pump impeller

    I think that’s the wrong pin. I have a 97 25hp Johnson and the impeller has a wedge shaped device that holds it in place.

    1988 85 hp Force outboard

    I took one off and turned it upside down and got it to line back up before. Used a awl in the screw hole to fish the yoke around.
