There is a big bold M above the number J2422884<br />So can some one tell me the year so I can get the manaul and work on the pump and get this thing out on the water before it gets cold

Hi, Ranroc.<br /><br />As several have explained, we have to have a model number to look up your year.<br /><br />One possibility is to find (library?) a Johnson Service Manual that has pictures of various models in an appendix and try to match yours to a picture.<br /><br />Good luck
