WELL I didn't pop a blood vessel dealing with the SERVICE???? people but all of a sudden they have located the tools!!!!! They have assured me that I will have the warranty on the repairs and they will WORK WITH ME??? on the COST of it all So KEN I probably won't be sending my unit down to you after all. However I WILL be sending your GRATITUDE PACKAGE in about a week. If TRENT could give me an employee count and business address I will send something there also. It's kind of funny though that so much is different now at the SERVICE SHOP after they had to deal with THE WIFE for two days. And so goes the saga of the YAMMIE HA DAHADA DAHADA outer unit. Trent's package should contain short order food. If the mechanics haven't screwed with the shim pack on the drive gear or bearings, then the only tool needed to shim the driven gear is the Yamaha tool # X38221. If they've screwed with the other stuff, then they'll need more. Sorry I haven't been on the board sooner but I had to go to ST Pete and wear a monkey suit for a wedding. Went to Universal Studios yesterday on the way back and learned a lesson about those people movers. Ya know, those flat conveyor belts that move folks along faster. If'n you don't stop walking when you get to the end, those thing will launch you a fer piece. Didn't take but once for me to learn. Took the wife a couple of times.

I have you know, I make a right handsome monkey. They picked me as the best man because of my size. They figured the groom wouldn't be able to get past me if he attempted to escape. What the books sez is 3.5 for rebuilding the upper and 3.1 for rebuilding the lower. That's if everything goes perfect. I can tell you by experience that this last one I did took twice that much due to corrosion. If they were smart and kept everything together on the upper shaft and didn't lose any shims and can remember where they went, they won't have to bother with it. Just reshim the lower gear and that shouldn't take but a few minutes to figure that one out. BTY, I found an aftermarket seal that will fit the upper output shaft. I used one on this last unit I rebuilt and it worked fine.

What they have is a lot of scratching the butts and heads time, trying to figure out what they had. As for the rain, you should have been here as ole Hanna passed thru. It came thru at Mobile but most of the bad weather was east of the center where we are. BTY Trent, the ole windsock out front, uh I mean whats left of the windsock. I guess its time to break out the spare. Spent the day yesterday getting the yard cleaned up. Typical day in Florida after a storm.

WEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL Just got home from the SERVICE?????????counter!!!!!! I was told that after they ATE????? TEN HOURS of LABOR????? I am responsible for 9.75 HRS. OF LABOR???? plus PARTS coming to $829.00 (ON TOP OF THE $167.00 FOR THE BEARING AND $234.00 FOR LABOR WHEN THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PARTS!!!!!) AND no chance of monthly payments!!!!
