Yamaha OX66

New to iboats...lots of great info here.
First question - in reading through many threads, I see the OX66 designation mentioned a lot - with mostly good opinions.
What exactly is an OX66 motor?

That designation is for a Yamaha electronically fuel injected 2-stroke outboard that uses an oxygen sensor to fine tune the mixture.
