Yamaha 225 Four Stroke

I have a new 225 and just started hearing a squeeking noise coming from the starboard motor. It sounds like a belt squeek on a car motor. It only happening at idle also. Could it be a belt? Thanks, John

if its new, it has warranty, take it to your dealer,

dont mean to sound rude, if you are hearing a noise, and you cannot isolate it to a belt, you really should take it to your dealer, those engines are to expensive to just let go until your first service, you may be hearing something other than the belt<br /><br />good luck

No offense taken. The dealer is a 3 hour drive away and if was something simple like a belt then I wanted to correct if myself. Thanks for the imput. John
