This is my perfected procedure and I’ve tried several. It never let me down with anything freezing but if anyone has improvements I’d like to hear them before I start this year.

A few more items, this is a MPI and need the cocktail fuel mix, for TBI and Carbs just spray fogger in the TBI or carb until it stall out.
This also has the Mercruiser Quick Crack System. A single drain system that usually has the engine block drains clogged and the block cannot drain. Simply adding AF thru the hose results in a cracked block. You MUST remove the quick connect hoses at the block and probe the openings.
If you prefer not to watch the amount of water that drains out , install the hull plug, pull the engine drain plug and drain the engine. it should be close to 4 gallons.so collect it and see if that amount was removed. If not, something is clogged

And every year (for MC1, R, MR Alpha One), every 3rd year (for Gen II), pull the drive and service the water pump and check bellows, unis, gimbal bearing and engine alignment...
