Do I need to remove the thin [aprox 1.25" dia] water inlet hose near the manifold & flush with antifreeze? It is being very stuck. I have flushed the block & manifold and am tempted to leave the inlet hose alone hoping that it drains by gravity. Thanks in advance, 1999 Mercruiser 3.0 With Alpha 1 Gen2

You need to drain the motor and manifold as well as the J hose.

Empty = winterized

If you want to add -100 AF (nothing rated less), then you can buy using a funnel at the thermostat housing and filling the block and head and the manifold

Filling with AF is not needed if you fully drained

Thank You for the quick reply. Much appreciated. Is there a way to drain the small inlet hose or does gravity drain the hose out the outdrive?

pull the hose off and blow some air thru it.
