Hi

I have a 1990 searay 200cc that I am getting back into the water.

I have just bought an apollo 14'' x 21p stainless prop as it was a good deal, but reading my boat should have a 13 3/4'' diameter 21p as it has a 4.3lx 205hp....

Will the extra 1/4'' make much of a difference? Will it be ok?

Thanks

The larger prop (14" dia) will want to move about 4% more water than the 13.75" prop., which will require about 10% more horsepower.

I would expect the top RPM to drop a bit, maybe 150-200 RPM. You will have to decide if that is OK, based on where your current top RPM is vs. what the engine is spec'd.

Thanks, I don't know the specs atm, as I bought the boat as is, having to refresh the drive etc, so bought a best guess! Hopefully it'll be ok. assume if it only revs to say 4400 I need a 13.75 really ....
