Re: What's the biggest fish you caught, so far, this year?
well, i havent really been fishing yet this year... but the last time i fished, lat year, the largest fish I caught was a Jack around 115 pounds and 54" long or..
as well as some 48' Kings...

Actually, i caught 3 Jacks in a row all about that size.. after 4.5 hours of almost continuos fighting/fishing, I was wasted.. and really surprised i didnt have a heart attack...
It was the most intense day of fishing in my life...

And....

Oh yeah.. baby...

I've got pics to back it up too
Re: What's the biggest fish you caught, so far, this year?
40# blue cat with a 25# chanel in the same night. I also caught several smaller cats but most chanels were over 5# and all the blues over 10#
As to other species a few 1+# bream and I have been a little lax on bass fishing with the biggest 5# and maybe this year in the mountians i may hook something big in the trout stream. As to S/W I have not had the chance this season but before winter I should have at least one doormat flounder several nice sea trout and who knows about the spottail/redfish. I hope to go after some small 60-80# tarpon this summer but I may not make it to FL before they move back out.

So far a 5 1/2 pound large mouth. For easten Pa that aint bad. The bass are on the beds right now at the lake I frequent. Big controversy brewing between the fisherman about targeting bass on the spawn.

16" crappie on Beaver Lake on a Chartreuse Road Runner with a red head tipped with a minnow. Caught a few whitebass that were bigger, but I am more proud of the crappie.

I caught a 1000+lb tree...couldn't get 'im in the boat however and ended up losing one of my favorite lures...but what a fight!!! Actually haven't been on any big fish this year so far, caught a nice 6lb bluecat last weekend...been catching the mess out of sand bass on the damn.
Re: What's the biggest fish you caught, so far, this year?
well, i dont have a scanner so i took a pic of a pic in a frame.

This is one of those 100 plus pounder Jack's I mentioned...

Just to give you an Idea of size.. Im 6'1" and wighed 300lbs in that pic.. Im down to 280 and much more fit now but never the less, that fish consumes a LARGE portion of my body..
I caught 3 like that.. whew!!!

Just look at the muscles in my forearm bulging out trying to hold this thing up...

Yee haa!!

Re: What's the biggest fish you caught, so far, this year?
38 lb chinook in the Columbia River this spring; a native, so (alas) I had to give her back to the river.
Lady Fish, went to Alaska last year, I caught a 450 lb halibut, there were 4 1500+ halibuts caught within 2 days on the same boat. Better not get too cocky...Alaska can better Texas in every way (except football, and Ohio does that...)
Re: What's the biggest fish you caught, so far, this year?
Well I beat the 5 1/2 pounder mentioned above. Today I nailed a six pounder.

For this part of the state this is a pretty good bass. Dont mind the miserable face, me and the son always try to look grouchy in fishin photos.
