what type of battery

i just purchased a 34# thrust trolling motor to push an 11' sea eagle inflatable raft. what kind and type of battery do i need?<br /><br />thanks for any responses

Use a "deep cycle" type battery. Get one rated at 75Amp Hours/ 100 reserve capacity.<br />You will also need a trickle-carger, or motorcycle battery charger,as they have to be charged at low amperage rates.<br />You could use a normal car battery,but not for long.It will probly go flat before you are done fishin, and it's not good for them, (like a stuck brake switch in a car), the battery will quit taking a charge after a few times.<br /><br /><br />------------------<br />I'm no expert, but I DID sleep at a Holiday Inn last night!
