Like the topic reads. Just laid in new Pressure treated on a 19' StarCraft rebuild. I an concerned about the moisture level of the kiln dried lumber that has sat around all winter. Should we be concerned about the moisture in it before we seal and carpet it. My partner says I'm anal. I'm not anal I'm prudent. He says it will outlive us both. I want to leave a good boat for the next guy.

Unless its KDAT (kiln dried after treatment) or CCA instead of ACQ PT, and its an alumimum boat, you need to remove it.

The other topic you posted this in wasnt about PT plywood, although it was mentioned, and its a fiberglass boat, not alumimum.

Please stay on topic when posting in other members topics, it can be distracting (like the fire extinisher details). Here in your topic, is where the PT question needed to be asked.

do not use PT wood in an aluminum boat. the chemicals in the wood will eat your hull

As others have mentioned, do not use pressure treated wood in your boat...Go with Marine grade, or acx or bcx exterior grade. thoroughly seal the wood on both sides and edges with a spar varnish or similar product. Once it dries, carpeting glue will adhere to it.
